In the renovation of a London townhouse for a family of four, we undertook an ambitious expansion, adding two subterranean floors to enhance living and entertainment spaces. The design focused on creating a functional layout that maximizes traffic flow on the ground floor, integrating cozy nooks and flexible seating areas tailored for the children.

The kitchen, situated on the lower ground floor, showcases a bright and airy design. We utilized natural materials such as marble for durability and aesthetic appeal, oak for warmth, and blackened steel for modern detailing, achieving a harmonious blend of textures and tones. The color palette was carefully chosen to evoke a sense of comfort and sophistication, featuring soothing blues, greens, and yellows, accented with vibrant pops of coral. This thoughtful combination not only enhances the home’s overall ambiance but also supports a dynamic environment suitable for both family life and social gatherings.
