We collaborated with Chef Henry Morgan and designer Lauren Sara to rejuvenate a local Gladwyne coffee shop, transforming it into a multi-functional community hub.

Our role was to transform Chef Morgan’s vision into a tangible reality, drawing on our extensive experience in high-end international projects. The design ethos was utilitarian and contemporary, employing raw materials to reflect an honest, pared-back style. Supporting local craftsmanship, all furniture and upholstery were custom-made by Stephen Rivera of Studio Circa, based in Philadelphia.

The space also features a curated selection of homewares from local and international artisans, turning the restaurant into a showcase for emerging design talent. Contrasting with the minimal and warm dining room, the bathroom features a vibrant installation by local artist Justin Mellon, adding a dynamic layer to the environment.

This collaboration allowed us to influence every detail, from the cutlery to the branding of HOMEROOM, embodying Chef Morgan’s personal touch and his strong community ties. Working on this community-driven project was incredibly fulfilling, underscoring our commitment to meaningful and locally integrated design projects.
