This family of three, along with their over-100-pound dog, transitioned from city life to the Philadelphia suburbs, purchasing a sprawling 10,000-square-foot home. Our challenge was to make its vast spaces feel cozy and inviting for family gatherings and entertaining.
We focused on creating intimate areas within the expansive layout, collaborating closely with the client, who has a strong interest in art. We sourced abstract, color-blocked pieces that complemented the new warm palette, adding personality and warmth to the large rooms.
In the living areas, we used plush furnishings, rich textiles, and layered lighting to enhance comfort. Strategic furniture placement created distinct zones for relaxation and socializing, making even the largest spaces feel functional and inviting. The kitchen and dining areas became the heart of the home, featuring family-friendly designs and elegant finishes with warm wood tones and soft fabrics.
Throughout the home, we balanced the grand scale with elements fostering intimacy, ensuring the family could enjoy both the expansive space and cozy nooks perfect for everyday living and entertaining.
